Nomad Go Closes $2.7M in Venture Funding

AI-based service optimizes operational efficiency and customer experience for brick-and-mortar restaurants, retail and hospitality

Bellevue, WA, September 12, 2019 – Nomad Go, the pioneer in applying AI to operational efficiency for brick-and-mortar businesses – from restaurants to retail, hospitality to entertainment – announced today it has raised $2.7 million in seed capital to scale its sales and expand its product offerings. The round was led by Flying Fish Partners with participation from Fitz Gate Ventures and Vulcan Capital. As part of the investment, Heather Redman of Flying Fish Partners will be joining Nomad Go’s Board of Directors.

“Brick-and-mortar businesses today use manual tools like stop watches, surveys with tiny sample sizes, and anecdotes to make critical business decisions about their operations,” said David Greschler, Co-Founder and CEO of Nomad Go. “Nomad Go provides physical commerce – such as fast casual restaurants and retail - with real-time data and business intelligence about their store operations to make changes that improve customer experience and increase their bottom line.” Greschler has been founding tech startups since 1999, including Softricity, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006.

With Nomad Go, brick-and-mortar businesses get continuous data insights to answer questions that have a direct impact on operations and customer experience:

  • Speed of service

  • Customer throughput

  • Customer satisfaction

  • Segmentation

  • Store-by-store comparisons

“With just one week of data, our customers find best practices to improve operational throughput, test changes in store designs, and measure the impact of marketing campaigns,” said Jonah Friedl, Co-Founder and CRO.

“Brick-and-mortar has been at a real disadvantage when you compare the insights they have access to versus on-line retailers. Nomad Go evens the playing field by providing real-time operational data based on almost 100% sample size,” said lead investor Heather Redman, Partner at Flying Fish. “Think of Nomad Go as Google Analytics, but for the real world.”

“Until now trying to measure the real world has been costly and ineffective,” said Jim Cohen, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Fitz Gate Ventures. “Nomad Go’s innovative technology means that any physical business can cost-effectively get access to in-depth, real-time data about their stores.”
